To ensure that our guides have the most knowledge available to safely guide our guests down the rivers, we are the only outfitter in Maine that arranges and pays for all of our guides to be nationally certified in Swift Water Rescue.

Maine Whitewater Rafting is a great activity for youth groups. They learn teamwork and paddling skills while having the time of their life. Three Rivers Whitewater would like to be your host and work with your group to design an outdoor experience centered around whitewater rafting trips down the Kennebec River. We offer a wide range of exciting trips and packages.

One Day Rafting Trip: $59.00

Includes licensed registered Maine Guides, self-bailing rafts, paddles, lifejackets, and helmets. We also provide a shuttle to and from the river and a snack and drink on the river. Not to mention plenty of memories and Fun! Fun! Fun! Returning to our base, we have cheese and crackers for you to snack on while we cook our famous all you can eat BBQ lunch with all the fixings. A slide and video show of your day's trip completes the day.

Kennebec Overnight Trip: $119.00

This is a true wilderness experience. The first day, after a hearty buffet breakfast we head to the East Outlet where you board small rafts and individual inflatable kayaks to paddle the Class I, II and III rapids. This is a great introduction to tomorrow's Class IV rapids. At the end of the East Outlet, we have a picnic lunch and then motor across Indian Pond to our wilderness campsite where your tents and sleeping pads are set up and your guides are preparing a delicious dinner for you. Spend the evening around the campfire telling stories, singing songs or playing games.

The next morning after a hearty breakfast we head to Harris Station and tackle the Class IV rapids of the Kennebec River Gorge. There are stops along the way for a snack and drink and to enjoy the scenery and swim spots. Upon your return to our base, we have cheese and crackers for you to snack on while we cook our famous BBQ lunch with all the fixings. After everyone has eaten their fill, there is a slide and video show of your trip where you can relive the fun. With two days on the river, five meals and all equipment included this is one great affordable adventure package!

This is our most popular package for youth groups. As you arrive at our base in The Forks, a staff member will greet you and show you to your lodging where everyone has a chance to unpack. We prepare a delicious dinner for you and have a large circus tent set up just for your group with snacks and drinks that everyone can enjoy all night. There is also a bon fire, music and games. Three Rivers Whitewater provides a staff member to work with your counselors and be available to assist you in any way to ensure that everyone has the best time possible.

The next morning, after a hearty breakfast buffet, we head to the river to raft the 12 miles of the Kennebec River Gorge. We stop along the way for a snack and a drink and there is ample opportunity for everyone to enjoy the scenery and swim along side your raft. Upon returning to our base, we have cheese and crackers for you to snack on as we cook our famous BBQ lunch with all the fixings. After lunch, there is a video and slide show of your day's trip where everyone can relive the excitement of the day.

Kennebec Raft/Kayak Package:

Your arrival and first day are the same as the Raft & Stay Package but you stay an additional night. Your second day of activity is as follows:

The next day after a hearty breakfast you will kayak the class I, II & III rapids of the lower Kennebec River in individual, inflatable kayaks. Guides will be paddling along side you directing you in the best paths to paddle and teaching you the techniques of "surfing a hole". Part way down the river we will hike up to Moxie Falls, Maine's tallest waterfall, where we will have a snack and drink. Upon returning to our base we will have cheese and crackers for you to snack on while we cook our famous BBQ lunch with all the fixings. (The lunch this day may be substituted with a picnic style lunch.)

Kennebec Raft/Hiking Package

The next day after a hearty breakfast we will guide you on a hike up Pleasant Pond Mountain. Upon reaching the summit we will have a snack and drink while enjoying the spectacular views. Returning to our base we will have cheese and crackers for you to snack on while we cook our famous BBQ lunch with all the fixings. (The lunch this day may be substituted with a picnic style lunch.)
