Our friends at Social Boston Sports came up our way and crashed through some rapids and enjoyed some late night R&R last year at Three Rivers. Check out the video to see the fun, and don’t miss our other rafting videos on MySpace!
We had the pleasure of welcoming Annemarie Roberts and Anne-Marie Maheux, contest winners, and Katy England, staff writer of the Maine Edge, to raft and jump with us recently. You can read the whole article on the Edge website, but let us tell you first — it was a heck of a fun time!
It’s our greatest pleasure to welcome people who’ve never jumped OR rafted before and to expose them to the thrills and safety of these exciting sports. We particularly loved this line:
“Whitewater rafting is not like going to a theme park – it’s a river; there’s no lever that makes the ride stop … I quickly came to the conclusion that roller coasters, waterslides and other fun theme park rides are merely pale imitators of rafting.”
Thanks again to the Maine Edge for coming to raft with us — we hope we’ll see you again soon!
Joe, Kim, Tony, April, Kristin and the entire Three Rivers Whitewater team would like to say THANK YOU for the greatest season ever! This was our biggest year and the most fun ever. It is you, our guests and friends, that make Three Rivers Whitewater possible. We have become the #1 outfitter in Maine due to the combination of our crew and our guests. It is this mix that yields the most fun and adventurous people on the planet.
Three Rivers Whitewater has grown to offer many events and different types of fun, so many that it’s hard to put on finger on what makes it special. From our perspective, it is the people who come to visit us and have fun. You make it worth all the hard work and as the years go by we realize that we have made thousands of great friends. So again we say THANK YOU! You are the best! Let’s have fun together forever!
We’ll continue to create great adventures as long as you keep coming to the “Home of Serious Fun.” Lift is short! Do it all!
Hey everybody! I’m getting into this blogging thing on the website. It’s kinda fun like the MySpace stuff. It’s fall up here in The Forks which means it’s quiet — too quiet — but this is when we plan all the Great Adventures, Whitewater Rafting Trips, Skydiving, Parties and Entertainment, and everything that makes us “The Home of Serious Fun”!
The 2008 River release schedules are out and we are getting them posted on the rest of the website as we speak. The Dead River Releases and Kennebec Huge Water Releases are going to be awesome and with all the rain we have had this fall the watershed will still be ahead come spring. Now all we need is snow.
Speaking of snow, we are ready for snowmobile season! The firewood is all put up and as soon as the snow flies we will be riding, skiing, snow shoeing, and skating. Winter in the great white north is awesome. Check out www.threeriverssnow.com The big New Years Eve party is booking up fast so make your reservation ASAP. It is going to be a great bash and I will try to stay out of trouble this year!
Hey, and time is running out for our 40% off special! Yes — 40% off! No joke! We’re also offering 40% off on gift certificates, and an incredible $229 deal on Jump and Raft trips! Don’t miss out!
Hey Everybody, the season is off to an amazing start with super high water on The Kennebec, Dead, and Penobscot Rivers making for some epic days on the river. The nights have been no less exciting, dancing to some great bands, signing along to All Star Karaoke and enjoying food and fires with old and new friends.
It is going by really fast though. I can’t believe that it is already June! We only have a couple high water Dead River releases left, but when that is done the Kennebec and Penobscot are still pumping out big water around the clock 7 days a week and with all this water around it will continue like that throughout the entire summer.
This past weekend I hung out with the American International College crew and the always fun Rollins group from New Hampshire at the Penobscot Outpost. We sang Karaoke and gathered around some of the campfires for some late night food. Sunday’s skydives got rained out but the rafting on the Penobscot was awesome. Some of the Belfast High School outing club had a mishap at Exterminator rapid and swam some of the gorge but no one got so much as a bruise and most thought it was a fun experience.
In The Forks this weekend The Dead River was awesome with 120+ crew and guides with a flow of near 6000 cubic feet per second of water. The crew included Interlakes and New Bedford High Schools as well as friends and guests from all over. Young Seth the guide wiped out at Elephant Rock Rapid and his whole boat took a short swim that was the talk of the Day. Once again all involved were fine. Karaoke Friday night was a big hit and The Returnables rocked the house with fun danceable rock and roll on Saturday. A great weekend was had by all.
We are all excited for the last two big Dead River Releases of the spring are on the 9th and 17th of June and should not be missed. There will be Karaoke at Both boatman’s bar and grill locations for the rest of the summer and for this coming weekend The Three Horsemen are playing at The Forks Saturday night and Between The Lines will rocking The Penobscot Outpost in Millinocket. Myself and the Jump and Raft Crew will be skydiving all weekend.
Don’t just sit there, get your butt up here and have some fun!
Please respond and let me hear your Three Rivers stories from the weekend — this blog will become a great place for us to share the summer fun!
